Position Description
Field Engineer
Responsible for defining, developing, implementing, testing, installing and supporting software solutions for automated systems. Systems include standard products and custom projects in the material handling, custom robotic, aerospace, environmental, and other custom applications. Responsible for developing internal and client-specifications and using these specifications to design software control systems, by deriving code from previously developed software components and augmenting this base by developing and documenting new software components. Also responsible for generating project-specific documentation, developing and executing Acceptance Test Plans, assisting in field installation and integration and providing on-going customer enhancements and support. Software development toolset must include FANUC HandlingTool, PalletTool, and KAREL platforms, and may include Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Software platforms, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
Qualified applicants will have an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; with four years related technical experience. Strong robot programming, problem solving, communications and interpersonal skills required.
