Summary:

In this role, you will serve as the executive leader of MSS (Mid-America Service Solutions, LLC) with executive oversight of all strategic and operational functions of the MSS aggregation group program. You will be accountable for developing a strategic plan that delivers a best-in-class program with significant value to the participating members. As the executive leader, you will have oversight of the spend management program, sourcing, contracting, analytics, network operations, membership management and growth, interface with c-suite member board, and managing the measurement and reporting of the network success. You will report to the SVP of Strategic Sourcing Partnerships and Programs at Vizient, while serving under the direction of the MSS Board of Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the overarching strategy and execution of strategic objectives and goals for MSS. Work in close collaboration with the MSS Board of Managers.
  • Provides leadership direction of all functional areas supporting the program including analytics, sourcing, operations, financial reporting, marketing, commercialization, and strengthening relationships with participating members.
  • Accountable for growth of the program and strategic alignment with other Vizient offerings working in close collaboration with the Vizient spend management team.
  • Manages revenue and expenses to ensure positive performance against established revenue and cost forecasts and develops strategies to mitigate any risk to these financial goals. Meets all financial obligations and manages the P&L for the program.
  • Observes market and technology trends, applies in-depth health care industry knowledge, and leads practices to innovate solutions to ensure that the program is best in class.
  • Drives the development and implementation of process improvements, service offerings, service levels, policies and/or programs to enhance organizational operations.
  • Accountable for results and growth and driving business strategy and success. Works with staff to develop and present an annual budget.
  • Manages contractual relationships between Vizient and the service providers.
  • Leads and develops talent for near- and long-term needs of the business; leverages talent management practices and builds succession plans to meet the delivery of services and solutions.
  • Establishes processes to create and share best practices within and across business teams.
  • Manages and reports activity and success through appropriate metric development and measurement for unique initiatives. Ensures that the applicable deliverables pertaining to the Statement(s) of Work with Service Providers are achieved.
  • Interfaces and works collaboratively with Vizient staff and other aggregation group teams to implement appropriate plans and initiatives in support of MSS objectives.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas-legal, finance, marketing, spend management, sales, information and data services, and operations-to develop solutions and approaches that will increase utilization, savings/value, and growth for member organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration or a closely related field preferred.
  • Work requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in healthcare including at least 5 years at the leadership level.
  • Requires significant strategic experience working within a supplier, hospital setting, hospital system, or association.
  • Experience directing strategic planning, business planning and/or other organizational development activities.
  • Demonstrated management skills that include making effective and efficient decisions and prudent judgment to achieve long-range and short-term goals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of business acumen including successful P&L management.
  • Promotes and preserves the Vizient culture both within the team and in communications with other teams-projecting a strong work ethic, helpfulness, compassion, integrity, and character.

Estimated Hiring Range:

$156,500.00 - $244,400.00
