Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Duluth! In this role, you will be seated front and center and recognized as the 'face and voice of TKDA' when greeting visitors and answering phones. You will also get in on all the action that occurs 'behind the scenes' by assisting with the creation and proofreading of letters and other correspondences, processing of incoming and outgoing mail and package shipments, coordination and scheduling of various meetings, ordering and stocking office supplies, and assisting employees with a range of office services requests. This role will also assist with the administration and execution of our archive policy and maintenance of archive databases. You will learn a great deal about all our services and the types of projects we design as you work alongside a team of talented design and engineering professionals while working in a fun, modern, team-oriented, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment.
Given the nature of the responsibilities associated with this opportunity, the candidate will frequently sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. The candidate will perform repetitive motions with fingers, hands, wrists, shoulders, and upper body while opening, sorting and/or distributing mail and package shipments. On occasion the candidate may be required to stoop, bend or reach above their shoulders and lift and carry packages and office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience - or - Associate Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Professional, positive, and welcoming demeanor with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and proof reading skills with a demonstrated ability to recognize proper use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Strong organization skills demonstrated by the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to work a regular part-time schedule ranging from 20 - 29 hours per week during our core business hours of 7:30 am - 4:30 pm; M-F.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Administrative Assistant experience within a professional services environment.
  • Previous experience handling and maintaining archive records, databases, and files.
Upon acceptance of a conditional offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to complete a standard pre-employment background screening, which consists of Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
