Kitting Auditor

  • 1st Shift (Days): Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
  • 2nd Shift (Nights): Monday - Friday 4:00PM - 12:30AM

The Kit Auditor is responsible for auditing products staged for kit builds to ensure quantity and product are accurate. The Kit Auditor assists Inventory Control with maintaining an acceptable inventory accuracy rate by identifying root causes and quantity or quality defects found.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with the kitting/production team to ensure prioritization of kit builds that need to be audited.
  • Compare the quantity and quality of products staged for build with the BOM (Bill of Materials).
  • Partner with IC lead and specialist with any inventory discrepancies found
  • Ensure the build compliances with 49 CFR/ Publication 52 Hazmat Regulations for transportation
  • Assemble a mock unit of the kit to be built and enter all item information into Synapse.
  • Photograph the mock unit and send a photo with the item information and BOM to the leadership team for approval.
  • Work with the Kitting/Production team to handle any additional inventory needed for the build.
  • Document and report completed audits at the end of the shift.
  • Other Duties As Assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to apply basic calculations as related to quantities of product picked
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles and is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions. The employee may be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
